LIC known to have commemorated their 57th anniversary. The anniversary festivity was held at EDC Complex, Patto in Panjim. Interestingly, the North Goa MP Shripad Naik was their chief guest in the event. To move further, during September 1, LIC commenced the insurance week all over India. LIC was nationalized on September 1, 1956 among nearly 245 different companies by the Finance Minister and late Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

In actuality LIC has 83.24% of market share and Goa accompanying 14 lakh population having 11.15 lakh LIC policies in action. As a matter of fact, they have 11 branch offices, three satellite officers in Goa. Investment in government social sector is also growing larger. Naik expressed that the development of the country is dependent on the rigorous number of  the LIC work progresses. At the anniversary festivity, a small cultural function was organized at the start intending entertainment for the people. While the winners of various competitions and activities were awarded by MP Naik.
