Aam Aadmi Party has dismissed Alka Lamba as party spokesman for two months after her comments on Gopal Rai’s resignation from the transport portfolio.
Although there is not any confirmation on why she has been suspended, Alka Lamba has been dismissed by the party over her comments that Gopal Rai was relived of the transport portfolio due to Anti-corruption Branch’s investigation into the alleged corruption in app-based premium bus service scandal.
In response, Lamba tweeted that as a disciplined member of the party she will abide by the party’s decision. She tweeted,
मैं उसका पश्चाताप जरूर करुँगी,ताकि मेरी वजहा से पार्टी की भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ लड़ाई को किसी भी तरहा का कोई भी नुक्सान ना पहुँचे1/2

AAP leader Gopal Rai had resigned from the transport department citing ‘health problems’, although the opposition parties Congress and BJP were terming it as the fallout of the ACB’s investigation into the app-based premium bus service scheme.
According to reports, he had requested AAP party chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to relieve him as transport minister as he had recently undergone a major surgery to remove a bullet from his spine.
By dismissing all reports of his resignation due to the investigation in corruption, Rai tweeted.
कई लोग ये झूठ फैला रहे हैं कि मैने प्रीमियम बस की वजह से इस्तीफा दिया!इस स्कीम में न कोई भ्रष्टाचार हुआ है और ना इसकी वजह से इस्तीफा दिया!
