Spice Jets' mid-air confusion

Apart from violating the standard rules of aviation, Spice Jet aircrafts had made a speculative move mid air, 5000 ft above, while trying to land at the Indore airport. The high drama happened at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport on Wednesday night at about 8pm when one Spice Jet flight was stranded in the air at 3,700 ft trying to land on the ground when another Spice Jet flight at a higher altitude of 5000 ft was given the clearance first to land on the ground.

This unusual decision to permit the landing of a higher plane earlier had created confusion between the pilots.

Passengers were angered by this confusion which was highly unprofessional and extremely dangerous too.

The ATC said that the planes were both Indore bound traveling between New Delhi and Hyderabad which had to land around the same time at Indore.
