In an yet another dowry killing, a 24-yea-old woman did suicide by hanging herself in her residence at east Delhi’s Jyothi Nagar area.

According to reports, the victim, Kusum used to stay with her husband, Ram Kishan along with his sister and mother. Kusum’s brother Deepak said that he received a call from his mother-in-law informing him about his sister’s death on Sunday.

Deepak and his family are now claiming that Kusum’s in-laws were demanding 2 lakh rupees as well as a motorcycle from her.

Police said that they have arrested Kishan and investigating the matter further.

Meanwhile, in a an another incident of suicide, a resident of Gorakhaprk locality in Shahdara, Shaurya, a 27-year-old man, committed suicide at his house on Sunday, according to reports.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot.
