16-year-old girl and her father were brutally stabbed by her cousin for rejected his marriage proposal. The incident took place in Mumbra yesterday, the accuse was identified as Jaahir Khan (22) from Nashik, who runs a garment business.

As per cops, last week when Sabrina’s family visited Jaahir’s family in Nashik, Jaahir asked Aarif (Sabrina's father) that he would like to marry his daughter but he rejected his proposal.  Yesterday around 1.30 pm when Sabrina was at home along with her father younger sister and brother and her mother went out to market.  Jaahir went to their house first checked whether family is at home or not and later rang the door bell.

Sabrina went to open the door and found Jaahir waiting with the knife and he brutally stabbed her in the stomach several times. Her father heard the commotion from his bedroom and he immediately rushed to the door and Jaagir also stabbed him as well. At the time victim’s brother was in the bathroom and her sister is the eye witness, she was in the kitchen and came out and saw everything what had happen.

Senior inspector Srinivas Munde of Mumbra police station said, “Sabrina and her father were admitted to Jupiter Hospital, where Sabrina was declared dead. Her father had several injuries and is being treated, but for now, he is stable. We are looking for the accused and have also contacted his family in Nashik for details. Our team will visit them as well. All I can say is that the accused will be nabbed very soon.”
