The crime rate against woman and small children have been increasing rapidly, a very tragedy incident took place in Kandivli in Mumbai where a six-year-old girl was raped and sodomised by her 25-year-old neighbour.

As per cops, the incident took place around 8 pm on Saturday night. The victim was playing with her friends outside the house and the accused has picked up the girl and took her to his house by offering her a chocolate. The girl was then raped and sodomised by her neighbor.

The girl’s brother when reached home found her missing and started searching for her all around the colony, but he did her find and later he approached police. He had a doubt on his neighbour as he had touched her inappropriately on previous occasions.

He immediately rushed to his neighbour’s house and found the accused with his sister and the accused was immediately handed over to Kandivli police.

Senior Inspector Mahipati Pandhermise, from Kandivli police station, said, “We arrested the accused after the girl’s brother registered the complaint. The medical report has also confirmed sexual assault. The accused has been arrested under Sections 376 (Rape), 377 (Unnatural offences) of Indian Penal Code and various sections under POCSO Act.”
