The crime rate against women have been increasing day by day, an incident took place in Goregaon where a 23-year-old married woman was raped by her friend on Thursday to take revenge on victims sister.

As per cops, the man was identified as Mohammad Jhakir Ali (38) who is a resident at Tilak Nagar in Goregaon was previously arrested in July for raping the survivor’s older sister and his wife had divorced him after he was arrested.

In September he was released on bail and in-order to take revenge on survivor’s older sister he made friend ship with her 23-year-old sister who is a graduate and got married a year ago. A week before the incident took place he promised to provide her a good job with high salary and offered to give free computer training.

On Thursday around 4 pm the girl went to Ali's house for computer training and he allegedly raped her and ran away. Around 6.30 pm while the woman was coming to Goregaon police station to file a case, he had offered her Rs 35,000 cheque and asked her not to file a complaint.

Sub-inspector Shrirang Kesarkar of Goregaon police station, said, “We sent the survivor to Cooper Hospital for the medical exam. After the report confirmed rape, we registered the case under Section 376 (rape) of Indian Penal Code. The accused is currently absconding but we will nab him very soon.”
