BJP To Find Chief Ministerial Candidate For UP In Parivartan Yatra

The Bharatiya Janata Party will be looking for the options to select chief ministerial candidate in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Assembly Elections in its Parivartan Yatra, according to the reports published in the media.

A leading news channel has quoted the sources saying that although the final decision will be taken by the party’s parliamentary board of top decision makers, the yatra will help in identifying the most popular leaders.

Congress has already appointed former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit as the chief ministerial candidate while BSP is making a strong pitch for the job she has held four times before. After the recent family feud in the Samajwadi Party, it is very unlikely that Akhilesh Yadav will be elected for the second term.

BJP’s yatra will begin on different days next month from four different parts of the state and will be flagged by party chief Amit Shah, union home minister Rajnath Singh and senior leaders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to address a mega rally in Lucknow at the end of the Yatra.
