The chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar has already confirmed that his party will not be supporting the call of Bharat Bandh. However, he has stated that government should take steps to bring ease to the people facing problems due to the banning of notes.

Congress’s Jairam Ramesh had said that the party has called for Bharat Bandh due to the “misinformation has been spread by the BJP which is ill-informed”.

Rubbishing off the claims by Congress, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu said, “Knowing the popular support to demonetisation, Congress has changed its tactics from calling for a countrywide bandh to Aakrosh rallies. It is clear that all this is aimed at finding space in the media as they have clearly lost out space in the debating forum of Parliament and the minds of the people.”

The opposition parties have opposing the decision of notes ban due to government’s failure of doing adequate preparations before making the decision which resulted into the hardships faced by the common man.
