PM Modi Unleashed Verbal Attack On Critics Of Demonetization

Releasing a full fledged attack on critics of demonetization, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the common man has become the soldier against corruption and has also assured the public that their legitimate money is in safe hands.

PM Modi, while speaking at a book launch function in Parliament House Annexe on the Constitution Day, said, “Every person has a right to spend his or her money. No one can take anyone's money. Now people can spend through mobile technology also.”

Prime Minister further added, “The world is changing. We must move towards cashless economy.”

Taking a dig at opposition over the criticism of the decision of banning Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes, PM Modi said that few people are angry over the decision just because they were not informed before the decision was taken.

“Those who are criticizing the demonetisation don't have problem with the government's preparedness, they have a problem because they didn't get time to prepare (to turn their black money into white),” he said.

He added, “It is important to connect with the spirit of the Constitution, not be aware only of the various articles of the Constitution.”

PM concluded by saying, “We celebrate January 26 with pride, but without November 26, January 26 is incomplete.”
