Will Shiv Sena join with BJP in forming government in the Maharashtra?

Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party have been worked together since 1970s but in 2014 the two parties have separated with each other due to misunderstanding in seat sharing formula in 2014 assembly elections in Maharashtra.

BJP has won the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana. On Monday the Shiva Sena made it clear that they have not yet taken any decision whether to support BJP government in Maharashtra.

Sanjay Raut the Shiv Sena Party spokesperson said at a press conference that, the party has not yet taken any decision whether to join the BJP in forming government in the state.

“We will announce our decision at the right time,” Raut added.

The BJP has won 122 seats while the Shiv Sena won 63 seats in elections that saw the two parties' 25-year-old friendship end over a few seats. The National congress party (NCP) has won 41 seats and decided to lend outside support to BJP but the BJP government is not keen on taking outside support by any party.
