NASSCOM Chief Spoke On H1B Visas

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) chief CP Gurnani recently spoke on H1B visas and said the upcoming US immigration Bill’s demand to restrict issuance of H1B visas to Indian companies will damage the whole system.

He said, “Such visas will not be any showstopper in this era of technology .” He further added that in this age of technology companies would use the tool to get product and services delivered.

Gurnani on the sidelines of NASSCOM product conclave said, “The companies and the US Senate can be at odds with each other. The US corporations realize that 70 per cent of their work were being outsourced from outside.”

He added, “On top of that, visa costs are going up.”

Gurnani said that the business would prevail as usual, although he confirmed that NASSCOM would make a legal appeal to the US Administration.
