An Indian-American professor with huge academic experience in field of science and technology, Dr. Kinshuk has been named as a dean of the University of North Texas College of Information in the United Sates.

Vice president for academic affairs at UNT, Finley Graves, in a statement said, “Dr. Kinshuk brings with him great leadership and research experience.”

“We look forward to Dr. Kinshuk working with our faculty to articulate a clear vision for the future of the College of Information,” he added.

Dr. Kinshuk, who goes with a single name and will take the charge of a new post from August 15, said, “I’m really looking forward to join such a progressive university and my esteemed new colleagues. I know the College of Information has high expectations and I hope to meet them and raise those even more.”

Dr. Kinshuk who received his bachelor’s degree from University of Rajasthan in India went to University in Scotland for his masters before getting his doctoral degree from De Montfort University in England.

He has been serving as an Associate Dean at Athbasca University in Alberta, Canada, leading the Faculty of Science and Technology since the year 2010. With this he has also served as a director in the School of Computing and Information Systems.

Apart from this, he was the director at Massey University in New Zealand of the Advanced Learning Technologies Research Center.

He has also served as a instructor at the Academy of Computer Education in India, earlier in his career, as a part-time lecturer at India’s  Government Polytechnic College.
