Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Allegedly Jostled By Protesters At Railway Station

Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was jostled by the group of protesters at Railway Station in Delhi, from where he took train to Punjab for a three-day visit, alleged the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members and described the incident as a ‘huge security breach’. AAP members has also criticized Delhi Police for compromising the security of the Chief Minister.

According to the reports, when Kejriwal was boarding the Shatabdi Express for Ludhiana, a group of women protesters emerged and started shouting slogans against AAP ex-MP Sandeep Kumar, who has been accused of rape by the woman who appeared in a sex tape with him.

Reports said that Kejriwal was surrounded by the supporters while to the the platform and managed to board the train when Police tried to keep protesters away.

As always, Delhi Deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying the crowd at the station was part of a conspiracy. He tweeted,

 

 

 

The Delhi Police, allegedly have told Arvind Kejriwal that they will not able to provide security to the Chief Minister during his Punjab tour as it does not have jurisdiction there.

A news agency has quoted Delhi Police official as saying, “We have not refused him security. He is leaving Delhi for Punjab for five days. As per the security norms, if he travels by train or car, we are supposed to drop him at the first destination in that state and after that, the state police takes over.”

Arvind Kejriwal is trying for his party’s success in upcoming Punjab Assembly election and has been campaigning for the same.
