David Headley on Attacking Shiv Sena

The cold and remorseless scout behind the 26/11 attacks, gave a testimony in a special court in Mumbai revealing many interesting things.

He said that he had conducted a reconnoiter of Shiv Sena Bhavan in Dadar in 2007, as he felt that Lashkar-E-Toiba would be interested in attacking and exterminating the then Chief Bal Thackeray.

He also stated that he had befriended a person, one Rajaram Rege, who claimed to be Uddhav Thackeray’s Public relations Officer. The reason of his consent friendship is to get access into the Bhavan. He also added that he had entered the Sena Bhavan twice and recorded all the meetings happened with Rege.

He then handed over the videos to LeT second-in command, Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi, to which he retorted  to be precise in surveillance, as it would give a chance to take  revenge of all the bomb blasts done in Pakistan by India.

He also added that he had purchased a few books in Nalanda Book Store inside Taj Hotel, while conducting a recce for 26/11 attacks. The books he purchased were Indian Army, Vision 2020, Royal Rajashtan, India’s Jewish Heritage, The Grand Trunk Road and Polo in India.

He stated “The other four books were all picture books. They were beautiful. Nothing sinister,” with a smile, This led judge G A Sanap to laugh and ask “Book number one was sinister?”, to which Headley laughed too and replied “ Yes, your honour.”

Headley also reconnoitered the Siddhivinayaka Temple, with a conspiracy of vandalism. He also purchased a few Yellow and Red sacred threads for the terrorists, that are useful for them to blend in people, as they would look like Hindus.

In the last few days, Headley has revealed the details of collaboration of ISI with LeT, regarding the 26/11 attacks.

David Headley is currently serving 35 years term in the US.
