The Samajwadi Party (SP)chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has decided to hire Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan as brand ambassador for their government's prestigious Lion Safari project in Etawah. This project was initiated by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and it will provide a different feel to the safari riders. Unlike other zoos in India, in the Lion Safari project, the safari riders here will be provided caged vehicles and they will enjoy watching wild animals roaming around. Also to plant nearly 5 crore saplings as part of green belt under the same project.

The discussions between SP and Amitabh are at ground stages and need more of them before making it official. However, SP is in dilemma whether Amitabh will accept the offer or not as he is already serving as brand ambassador for Gujarat state.

Though this project will take two years time to complete, Mulayam wants to bring Amitabh before 2014 elections and it would fetch them advantage in the elections.
