Local Shiv Sena members, in an disgusted attack, stripped 4 Dalit youths and thrashed them by tying them to an SUV in Gujarat’s village in Gir-Somnath district on Monday.

According to reports, 4 men who were engaged in skinning a dead cow which they were brought in their village Mota Samadhiyala near Una town when six persons in an SUV approached them and accused them for cow slaughter. Despite being told by the victims that they have brought dead cow for skinning, six people stripped them by tying them to their SUV they started to beat them with iron pipes and sticks. After that they were taken to the village.

Una town Police Inspector N U Zala said, “They stopped their SUV on the main road and started thrashing them again. Three persons who tried to intervene were also beaten up with iron pipes.”

After thrashing them they were taken to the Una town police station and again they stated to beat the 4 men. Video and pictures went viral on the social media.

Police said that Vasram Sarvaia, a 23-yeal-old has lodged a complaint against the six assailants Pramodgiri Bavaji, Balvant Dhirubhai, Ramesh Jadav, Nagji Vaniya, Rakesh Joshi and an unidentified person. All the accused are form Una town and nearby villages.

Zala said, “We have arrested three Jadav, Joshi and Nagji”. He added that all of them booked under attempt to murder and sections of Prevention of Atrocities against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act. Reports said, the victims have been admitted to the hospital where the condition  of a person identified as Babubhai is critical.
