Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch was brutally murdered by her own brother. The murder has shocked the entire film fraternity mainly in India and Pakistan. In the brutal case of honor killing, her brother, who is the main culprit, had fled the scene and was untraceable, according to the reports.

However, her brother got arrested earlier. The brother which was identified as Waseem has also admitted the real motive behind killing his sister. He said, “She was bringing disrepute to our family’s honour and I could not tolerate it any further. I killed her around 11.30pm on Friday night when everyone else had gone to bed. My brother is not involved in the murder.”

In a press conference, police announced Waseem’s arrest and he admitted to have killed his own sister. Reports said, after Qandeel’s three past marriages went public she was receiving threat calls from her brother and she has also demanded police protection from the police. However, no protection was provided by the police and she was murdered brutally by her own brother. Reports also said, that her name was finalized in Salman Khan’s superhit show Bigg Boss’s 10th season.

Majority of people in the country are happy by Baloch’s death, according to media reports as they still thinks that she brought disrepute to the whole country. A senator Sherry Rahman said, “Assuming that Qandeel Baloch’s brother will probably be arrested and punished for murder because of the high profile [nature] of the case, the fact remains that an essentially right-wing government is sitting on vital amendments in the Pakistan Criminal Procedure Code that would disallow justice to be privatized for crimes against women.”
