Not long after the senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh called Kashmir as India-Occupied Kashmir and embarrassed the whole party, the West Bengal unit of Congress has created a bigger controversy by tweeting former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi’s infamous words allegedly indicating at the anti-Sikh riots in 1984 occurred after the assassination of India’s first woman prime minister Indira Gandhi.

Referring to leader’s comments while giving a speech after the anti-Sikh riots, “When a big tree falls, the earth shakes.”

Around 2,000 people have been killed in NCR during the anti-Sikh riots erupted after Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her Sikh bodyguard.

However, after facing a turmoil on Twitter, the state unit immediately deleted the tweet.

It is unfortunate that although the mass killing occurred during the riots no big arrest as well as no severe action has been taken on the culprits, allegedly belonged to the Congress party.
