BJP Leadership Set To Throw Khadse Out

Maharashtra revenue minister and a controversial personality Eknath Khadse, who is facing a huge criticism over his alleged involvement in in the MIDC land scam and Rs. 30 crore bribe demand  allegedly made by his aide for allotment of land near Kalyan, is on his way out, according to the sources.

The Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has submitted comprehensive Status Report on the charges against Khadse to the BJP president Amit Shah and have briefed PM Modi on the matter, said a senior BJP leader. BJP leadership is all set to sack the most important leader in the state and the removal could come as early as the end of next week, although no timeframe has been set, according to the senior BJP leader.

He said, “The BJP leadership has taken serious note of the allegations. The MIDC land scam and the bribe demand are not the only cases, there are others too. It is felt it is essential to sack Khadse to protect the clean image of the party.”

“Since we are not expecting Khadse to resign or come clean, Fadnavis will submit a proposal to the governor for his removal,” said the cabinet member.

Congress has tried to create the pressure by asking Modi to take decisive action against the revenue minister, Khadse and prove his claim of “zero tolerance or corruption.”

“Take action against Khadse. Dismiss his forthwith, and register a case against him for misuse of office,” party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said. He attacked Modi on his silence over the corruption charges against BJP leaders and the party’s governments in state.

“This was evident from the PM not punishing his ministers and CMs for permitting Lalit Modi to acquire UK travel papers, for letting businessman Vijay Mallya escape the clutches of law, and also for Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh, PDS scam of Chhattisgarh, GSPC scam of Gujarat and mining scam of Rajasthan,” he said.
