Kangana Ranaut Positive On Starring In Chetan Bhagat’s Next

Popular Indian author Chetan Bhagat’s novel has been converted into many top-budget films. The author’s new book, ‘One Indian Girl’ is yet to see a launch. However, Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut has already read the manuscript of the novel.

The novel has a story of a girl and has portrayed feminism. Reports said when Kangana finished reading of the manuscript, she called Bhagat and said, “Did you really write this? It’s a wonderful book, a must-read! I’m definitely playing the lead whenever you turn the book into a film.”

Bhagat, in an interview, recalled the conversation and said, “Stories and scripts mean a lot to Kangana. She is known for her take on feminism and honest opinions, and for her to praise my book and want to do the film is a huge compliment. I am really thankful to her for joining me.”

While describing the upcoming book, Bhagat said, “One Indian Girl is the story of an intelligent, successful girl who struggles to find love. It questions society which judges women achievers. It asks why when it comes to love; being intelligent and successful is often a drawback for women.”

Chetan Bhagat’s many books have been converted into the silver screen. Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor starring 2 States, the latest release, had received the positive reviews. Upcoming film Hal-girlfriend will be releasing soon and stars Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun in lead roles.

Kangana will be starting to shoot for ‘One Indian Girl’ sometime 2017-end after Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon.
