ACB, Sheila Dikshit Had A Tea Party: DJB Chairperson Kapil Mishra

The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) chairperson Kapil Mishra has alleged that the members of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), who visited the residence of former chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday had a great ‘tea-party’ and not interrogated her in connection with the alleged tanker scam.

Sheila Dikshit is under scanner of the ACB in Rs. 400 crore scam in hiring water tankers by the DJB in 2012, when Sheila Dikshit was the chairperson of the DJB.

Kapil Mishra had set up a fact finding committee last year and had submitted a report to Lieutenant-Governor (LG) Najeeb Jung in June.

Reports had said that there was evidence in the report to investigate Sheila Dikshit’s role in alleged scam.

Kapil Mishra has said that the meeting was just a tea-party although the ACB has given its questionnaire to the former chief minister.

Mishra said, ““I’m the complainant in the case, and the ACB called me in for questioning to their office. Ms. Dikshit is the accused, and they went to her home to have tea. They did no interrogation.”

By telling one of the famous dailies, that he would write the LG Najeeb Jung to have a fair investigation into the matter after he alleged that the ACB, with the extension of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to ‘save’ Sheila Dikshit.
