Asad wants no security, calls death his custodian

asadThe MIM supreme, Mr Asaduddin Owaisi, has asked the police commissioner to withdraw notices that were sent to 10 TV channels for telecasting the video footage of the recent vicious attack on his brother, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, the Chandrayangutta MLA.

Talking to the media, he said the police acted immaturely.

He said even the brutal scenes of the Macca Masjid and Lumbini Park blasts were shown on television and no notices were issued to the media then.

Claiming that the government was not taking the case seriously, he also demanded a separate court for the trial of Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi’s case.

He also proposed that the President’s Gallantry Medal be awarded to Mr Mohammed Jani who resisted the attackers.

He urged the government to enact special laws to deal with the land mafia.

He said his brother has identified 75 acres of government land in his constituency, but most of the land has been encroached upon.

Mr Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that his brother’s attackers enjoyed the patronage of some Urdu newspapers that have been engaging in anti-MIM propaganda from 2007.

Meanwhile, he refused the security offered to him by the city police, saying somewhat obscurely that “death is the custodian of my security.”
