Sriprakash Jaiswal worried about hike in rail fare

Accompanying an attempt to get into the core of BJP, senior Congress leader Sriprakash Jaiswal today asked the ruling party if increase in railway fares and freight charges will bring good days promised by them.

Additionally, the former Kanpur MP questioned will an increase in railway fare bring down inflation? Will an increase in freight charges, that will in turn increase prices of essential commodities, bring good days? Jaiswal was leading a protest organised in Kanpur by Congress against hike in railway fare and freight charges and unannounced power cuts in the city.

He said that the railway fare has been increased so much in just one go. Never before has the fare been increased so much. Even the freight charges have been increased. This will directly have impact on the people as the prices of daily-use commodities will increase.

Did the people elect BJP to see such 'good days'. It is being said that the prices of gas and fuel will also increase. The people should think why did they elect BJP. He added that the people should accept what the government has given them in the name of good days after all they only elected BJP. Now, there are many ways to see at it. Firstly, even if the rail fare hike takes place if that guarantees betterment in terms of comfort, security and special packages for the less income group, then it makes sense otherwise, even if we say its good for the development nothing more than a disturbance would be caused. Needless to say if there is an increase in fuel naturally there has to be increase in fare intending to balance them. The experts would know better but for the common citizens of the country especially the lower income groups, there would be several questions rising before them to pay even a small increase in amount. Its not just being specific about any political group, say BJP or Congress but unitedly we must find a solution than playing antagonist. But if we go playing questioning session we would actually not achieve anything.

That's the core reality!
