CBFC Suggest 90 Cuts In Manoj Bajpai Starring Saat Uchakkey

The Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) once again has come under focus as the board has ordered 90 cuts in the film Saat Uchakkey starring Manoj Bajpai and Ayushmann Khurrana’s brother Aparshakti Khurrana in lead roles.

The film which is centered around youth life is being directed by Sanjeev Sharma. The board has asked to cut, mute or replace as many as 90 cuss words. Various abusive words are featured repeatedly in the film, according to the reports.

A member of the censor board said, “In all our experience as jury members we had never heard such cuss words before, like 'Teri maa ki bahenc...d' and 'bahen ke lu.d.”

He added, “CBFC had to find 90 different alternatives to ninety hard-core abuses” and the film still found to be vulgar.

“The movie is full of abusive/filthy words and the overall content is not suitable for even adult viewing due to over dose (sic.),” says the movie certification even after the movie has been granted ‘Adult’ certificate after the cuts are implemented.

Meanwhile, Shyam Benegal’s cuts-free censor certification policy is being discussed with the government and the rapid implementation is required to take it into effect.
