If the reports are to be believed, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan to play a musician in a film by National Award winning filmmaker Shyam Benegal.

The filmmaker wants to work with the Pakistani actor in a titled “Yeh Raste Hai Pyaar Ke”, which will be directed by Harsh Narayan. The film’s plot revolves around reuniting the two warring countries through art and cultural ties.

Recently, after the Uri Attack there has been growing consensus in the Bollywood that Pakistani actors should not be cast in the Indian films and many have either supported the ban on the Pakistani artistes.

Censor Board for Film Certification chief Pahlah Nihalani has already made it clear that he is completely against the Pakistani artistes working in the Bollywood film. Shyam Benegal ,who is also the chief of the CBFC Revamp Committee, has decided to take Fawad Khan in his film.

Previously Ajay Devgan had stated that he would not work with the Pakistani artistes until the situation becomes normal and said that he wouldn’t care if his films don’t release in Pakistan.
