Late last night an unknown person has attacked a leading private hospital at Allahabad with a crude bomb. No one was injured in the blast but that left fear among the patients and staff members and the hospital's glass door shattered.

Dr Alok Mishra, one of the Directors of Phoenix Super-specialty said that the incident has taken place around midnight in the night and a couple of people drew on motorcycles in front of the hospital building and thrown a crude bomb.

The hospital is located near the posh Tagore Town locality of the city.

Neeti Dwivedi the Deputy Superintendent of Police said that a case be registered on this issue and we are investigating the case. CCTV footage has been obtained by the hospital authorities and we are trying out to trace the culprits and their faces are invisible in the footage. Mishra said a meeting of Allahabad Nursing Home Welfare Association would be held today to take stock of the situation and discuss future course of action.
