The Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi tops among politicians in getting followers to his twitter.

Narendra Modi the most popular among Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party has 18.26 lakhs of followers who anxiously read what he tweets.  BJP leader Sushma Swaraj is next to him with 5.23 followers.  

Twitter is going to play a major role in coming elections as the political analysts observe.  There was a spate of exchanges recently on the respective tweets of Congress party and BJP over Uttarakhand devastation.  As it is already evident, twitter which is a social media is going to be a powerful one for politicians to express their views and gain goodwill among the voters and general public.  

Narendra Modi surpassed Shshi Tharoor of Congress Party who has 18.22 lakhs of followers.
