Placements Ended At A School In IIT Bombay, Top Annual Package Rs. 27.5 Lakh

The placements organized at Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT-Bombay, ended with the annual package given Rs. 27.5 lakh. The school which has increased its batch size by 50%, received 100 offers from 49 companies for final placement. The class’s CTC went up from Rs. 16.2 lakh to Rs. 16.5 lack. The top recruiters included Google, Dell International, Cisco, Abbott, Hitachi, Consulting and 11 others that offered various positions in profiles such as operations, consulting, analytics, marketing and finance.

In Banking sector too, the major recruiters such as Goldman Sachs, Yes Bank, Nomura, PWC, Fidelity Investments, ICICI and Indus Valley offered various jobs in wholesale banking, retail banking, corporate banking, securities and corporate treasury.

The batch of 117 received 26 pre-placement offers or interviews from various recruiters.

Companies such as Cummins, Tata Motors, HP Inc, Jindal Steel and Power and National Instruments ruled in the manufacturing sector offering jobs in operations, systems and vendor management.

Top guns in consulting offered jobs in strategy and operations consulting, procurement consulting and technology consulting by the companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini and Hitachi Consulting.

Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) giants such as Johnson & Johnson, Asian Paints, L’Oreal, Colgate-Palmolive, P&G and Nestle had roles in supply chain management, operations and sales.

Organizations such as Abbott, Piramal, Glenmark and Cochlear had jobs in supply chain management, operations and marketing. Google, Dell, Cisco, Capgemini, CitiusTech, Infosys and Wipro recruited students in the field of IT consulting, data analytics and security solutions.
