JDs to intensify their agitation

Striking Junior Doctors have decided to increase the intensity by stopping emergency services also from today evening.  Junior Doctors who have been participating in the strike and also fasts yielded no results.  As such they want to intensify the movement and extend it to the emergency services in the Government Hospitals.  The already mounted difficulties of the patients in the hospitals are going to escalate further due to abandoning the emergency services also.  Although the health conditions of the JDs participating in hunger strike is very alarming, they complain that the Government is not responding at all.

Ex minister for medicinal education DL Ravindra Reddy had been asking the JDs to stop agitation and come for talks and there is nothing that cannot be solved by discussions.  Now the new minister Kondru Murali also is advising the striking JDs to stop it and join duties immediately as their protest is not a valid one and the Government is not going yield to their revolting activities.  Government is firm saying that JDs are only students and an increase in their stipend in view of the raising cost of living will be considered but they should join their duties immediately and unconditionally.  The minister also said that the plan of increasing the JDs giving chance to BCs is also getting hampered due to the strike.  (SJ)
