All you mothers-to-be reading this, take note. eating fish each week throughout pregnancy could improve your child’s intelligence quotient and reduce their risk of developing some of the early signs of autism, a brand new study has claimed.

Researchers studied almost 2,000 mothers and their youngsters, starting from the mothers’ first trimester of pregnancy, and continued till the kids turned 5.

Results showed that youngsters whose mothers ate an average of three to four servings throughout their pregnancy showed no signs that mercury in fish negatively affected their developmental health. These youngsters had intelligence quotient scores that were 2.8% over those whose mothers ate less fish, the study found.

“What makes the findings notably stunning is that bound fish, like tuna or tilefish -- that pregnant ladies are discouraged from uptake due to their higher levels of mercury -- were joined to a number of the most important biological process edges,” same Jordi Julvez from the Centre for analysis in Environmental medicine in European nation.
