Chris Gayle ruled out of ODI'S against India

Chris Gayle has been struggling with hamstring injury, where he is likely to miss the tour to India next month. West Indies Cricket Board has announced 15-member squad for the one-day series against India scheduled next month. West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels has return back into the team for limited over’s cricket, where he is going to be the key player for the team in the run-up to the ICC World Cup 2015.

West Indies have been included pacer Jerome Taylor and batsmen Dwayne Smith and Marlon Samuels into the 15-members squad against India. Samuels and Smith, who are dropped from the limited over’s cricket due to their poor performance in three-match series against England in March earlier this year, Samuels has made only 23 runs and Smith's scores 24, 5 and 9. In which, West Indies has lost 3-match series to England with a 1-2.

West Indies will play five one day international matches, three test matches and only twenty 20 international match in Cuttack. India will face West Indies in the first one day international match begins on 8th October at Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Lendl Simmons is expecting to open the innings for West Indies, after Chris Gayle absence.

West Indies squad for India ODI’s: Dwayne Bravo (capt), Darren Bravo, Jason Holder, Leon Johnson, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Andre Russell, Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith, Jerome Taylor.
