The boys of Zico were organized, well coordinated and disciplined all through. Though the ball was with the Dynamos much of the time, it did not take much time to break their defense as the first goal was done, only requiring four passes.

A powerful free kick from Jofre was converted into another goal by Moura through a pass made by Reinaldo from a close range during the second half.

All through the remaining part of the game, Delhi majorly had the ball which also contained a couple of shots hitting the bars, a lot of them were stopped by Goa’s goalkeeper Elinton Andrade.

The major part of the win’s credit goes to Elinton Andrade as he was responsible for taking the pressure off his team through a lot of saves between the poles.

The man of the match award was rightly given to Mandar Rao Desai as he has both the skill and agility which made him to be present all over the ground. Blending his skills with those of Romeo Fernandez, he made sure that his team tastes victory.

Jofre’s defensive approach of long precise passes to the strikers added to their win.

Carlos presence and inspiration also could not help Delhi much which was contrasted to the crowd’s thoughts of recreating his magic. Though Delhi won a free kick during the second half, it was easily stopped by Elinton Andrade.

A number of substitutions and Carlos, introducing himself in the second half too did not work for Delhi.

Lucio, Gregory Arnolin, Kenan Almeida, Debabrata Roy, Denson Devdas, Leo Mourya, Jonatan, Sabeeth and Luciano Sabrosa did their part towards Goa’s 2-0 win over Delhi

Lucio, Luciano Sabrosa, Victor Simoes, Leo Moura, Reinaldo, Jonatan Lucca and Elinton Andrade are the  seven Brazilians playing from Goa’s side and Roberto Carlos, Chicao and Gustavo Marmentini are the three Brazilian players on the Delhi’s side. This is probably the first time to have Brazilians play in the ISL and most importantly in both the teams.
