Woman in board brings superior productivity

Interesting fact known that employing otherwise promoting a woman to join our board of directors would justify superior productivity.

According to a research, even a singly woman on the board of directors in a firm can justify stronger corporate governance practices than those not accpanied by women. Additionally, the research explained that companies with at least three women in board of directors rank even higher, depending on specific industry sectors.

In addition, business professor Judith Zaichkowsky from Simon Fraser University in Canada said that the discoveries introduce for consideration the presence of women on a board encourages a greater emphasis on board practices and behaviours related to good governance, even when they are a lone voice. The research discovered significant improvement in scores with one women, especially in traditionally male-dominated industries such as energy and mining.

Zaichkowsky was quoted as saying in a Globe and Mail report to call for quotas of three or more women to be on board of directors of these industries, for which the total number of board seats averages about nine, is perhaps asking too much. She added at this point in time, a single woman on these boards may be all it takes to provide a better governed and maybe an even more stable company.

The presence of women on the board could be signal that a company cares more about good corporate governance, said the report published in the International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics.

Now, this is certainly a great factor to know about woman capability. In fact, it will act as a driving force for womanhood to know the reality of science behind women's intellectual power. This is a great source of inspiration for the millions of women around the world in the traditionally male-dominated industries. But another fact to bring in here, that few years back I have come across a different yet controversial saying that a woman if highly educated and lead any top management would surely spoil the show. Now, its absolutely wrong perception whoever said this, as its not with the gender that we justify success, its just on one's capability.
