The Painful childhood...
Canadian-American actress of Finnish origin Pamela Anderson has disclosed that she was molested and raped when she was young. The 46-year-old star said there was a time in her life when she wanted to be "off this earth" but her love for animals saved her during the launch of the Pamela Anderson Foundation.
Anderson added that she feel now might be the time to reveal some of her most painful memories... She did not have an easy childhood. In spite of having loving parents, she was molested from age 6-10 by her female babysitter.
A hard time trusting humans...
Anderson said while reading from a note during the launch that she went to a friend's boyfriend's house - while she was busy. The boyfriend's older brother decided he would teach me backgammon which led into a back massage which led into rape, her first heterosexual experience. He was 25 years old while she was 12. She said her first boyfriend when she was in grade 9 gangraped her accompanying six of his friends.
Anderson said that needless to say she had a hard time trusting humans, she just wanted off this earth. The star recalled how she did not reveal these incidents to her mother, who tried to make ends meet by working two jobs as a waitress while her father was an alcoholic.
Anderson added that her dad didn't always come home leaving them in tremendous pain and worry. She couldn't bare to give her any more disruptive information. She couldn't break her heart any more than it was breaking. She kept these events to herself. Anderson expressed that sometimes when we smile, it's not because you're happy. It's because your strong. Anderson credited her fondness towards animals for saving her and she vowed to safeguard them and only them, who were the only real friends she had until her children were born.
Needless to say that the above reality of her life gives all of us a feeling of distress and shock. Pamela Anderson's childhood was a state of extreme misfortune and to be able to overcome that like her in life, going to be an extraordinary reality. One needs a really strong heart to be able to get the better of in painful struggle like her.
