Today is mother's day!

Mother's day doesn't speak about a pack of costly gift or showpiece. That happens to be a celebration accompanying high respect for mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.
 
Needless to say that a mother's love and care starts from the time before birth. Yes, it actually starts from the time when we have not even seen the first ray of light. Then we gradually grow up as  mothers hold their child's hand for a moment and a heart for a lifetime.

That's why Agatha Christie expressed “Mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things, and crushes down remorselessly all that stand in its path”.  The bonding between mother's and their children can just be defined by love. As a mother's prayers for her children is infinite, so are the act of enlightening, elegance, and courage they provide to their children.

Another saying by Billy Sunday that comes to my mind instantaneously - “There is nothing in the world of art like the songs mother used to sing”.  Its only a mother who has the supreme power to give the best care to her child and this can't be replaced by anyone in the world. In fact, a mother understands what a child doesn't even say. That's her power!

A mother's power is immeasurable. She is a mother, housekeeper, chef, teacher, nurse, coach, chauffeur, story teller, monster killer, planner, organizer, decorator, crafter, best friend, multitasking queen, wonder woman. There would be several experiences in our life that justify the fact that she might be just one person for us in the world but to our mother we are the world. For a mother there's nothing more important than her child.

Let us realize the fact that no gift to your Mother can equal her gift to you and that's Life!

That's why I say - Your pretty smile, your kind eyes, your heart of gold and your healing touch; Mother, you are no less than an angel to me. I love you. Happy Mothers Day!
