Franklin wins gold at swimming's world championships

Missy Franklin of the USA marked strength to her third gold at swimming's world championships accompanied by victory in the women's 200m freestyle final on Wednesday.

Franklin, 18, conquered victory in the third title in Barcelona and demanded by virtue of a right when she touched the wall at 1min 54.81secs with Italy's Federica Pellegrini taking silver at 0.33 back and France's Camille Muffat claiming bronze at 0.91.

Having withdrawn from the 50m backstroke semi-finals beforehand in the evening to become more intense on the freestyle final, Franklin transformed on the power. Undergoing domination  during the first three lengths to build a clear gap going into the final turn, Franklin held on accompanied by both Pellegrini as well as Muffat recklessly aggressive move to her lead.  

That's really a powerful and commendable victory and deserves a great reward.
