A Tool Invented By The Researchers In Precision Medicine

Scientists have successfully developed a new tool to specially determine the inherent biological differences between individuals, resulting in a big invention in the field of personalized medicine tailored to the the specific profile of individuals commonly knows as precision medicine.

Two scientists from Switzerland’s Ecole Polytechnique federale de Lausanne or EPFLand ETH Zurich, John Auwerx and Rudi Aebersold respectively, have successfully managed to treat metabolic disorder such as diabetes, obesity and fatty liver which depends on the variation in the way patients responds to medication.

Experimentation which was carried on mouse model researchers successfully connected the variations between individual genomes to the variation between their proteomes-their full set of proteins resulting in taking a giant leap in profiling the biology of a particular individual.

The researches now are working in customize medical intervention for human patients according to their individual biological weapon, although the approach used by the researchers on mouse cohort can be applied in research on human disease, according Aebersold.
