Kabaddi WC 2016: India Routed Bangladesh 57-20

Continuing its dominating performance after losing first match against South Korea in the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup, India has routed Bangladesh 57-20 in their second league game of Group A at Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

Ajay Thakur’s 10 raid points lead India after coming as a substitute before Pradeep Narwal’s thrilling performance in the first half ended with 8 raid points.

This is was a crucial game for India and a tough once as well. However, the Indians showed some outstanding performance to dismiss Bangladesh. India’s defense also contributed well with the defenders keeping the Bangladeshi raiders into their pockets most of the times.

India will now play against Argentina on Saturday bu their eyes, simultaneously, will be on the match against Bangladesh and South Korea, where Bangladesh will need to beat South Korea to keep their semi-finals hopes alive.

Pradeep Narwal opened India’s account and Sandeep Narwal followed it with a tackle to provide India 2-1 lead. Bangladesh scored their first raid point in the 12th minute as they were trailing 5-14 in the 12th minute. At the end of the first half, India led 27-10 with their strong performance.

In the second half, Indian continued their lead reached 29-15 in the 29th minute with help of star raider Ajay Thakur. At the 37th minute India were leading 52-18 and reached 57-20 as Surender Nada attained high five in the dying second of the game.
