UP Government Fined For One Crore By Allahabad HC

Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government has faced a nigger set back as Allahabad High Court has imposed fine of Rs.1 crore on the UP government in land acquisition matter of Loni, Ghaziabad.

The High Court has ordered the government to deposit the fine before September 15, which is the date for the next hearing in the case.

The bench of Justice Tarun Agarwala and Justice Vipin Sinha was hearing the petition filed by a resident of Loni, Ghaziabad and the bench has directed the same in the case.

The High Court has also directed the UP government to file a counter affidavit in the case within two weeks, which has to be sworn by an officer no less than a rank of Secretary.
