According to the final report by Central Forensic Research Laboratory given to the Special Cell, Delhi Police, four videos of February 9 event organized at JNU campus where the anti-national slogans were allegedly raised are “genuine”.

“From these videos, police have identified five persons raising anti-national slogans during the event held to mark the death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya can be seen in these videos,” said the official in the team of investigators. The Investigating officers are expected to inquire the persons identified in the four video clippings.

Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Arvind Deep said they had received the report from Gandhinagar, but were waiting for the final report on another set of video clippings - especially those shown on Zee News channel - from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, CBI.

Investigators had received these videos from security guards and students and most of them was captured on mobile phones

Some of the slogans raised from JNU campus were:-

Tum kitne Afzal maroge, ghar-ghar se Afzal niklenge
Pakistan zindabad
Kashmir maange azaadi, ladkar lenge azaadi
Kashmir ki azaadi tak, jung rahegi-jung rahegi
Bharat ki barbaadi tak, jung rahegi-jung rahegi
Afzak ki hatya nahi sahenge

The Students raised these slogans and had expressed solidarity with the Parliament attacks mastermind Afzal Guru and the separatist movement in Kashmir.

Previously, the Hyderabad Truth Labs conducted forensic examinations on seven videos and found three of them doctored. The request for this investigation was made by the Delhi government.

15 people have recorded their statements to the investigators so far.

The High Court previously had released the three Kanhaiya Kumar, JNUSU president, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya on interim bail after they were caught by the police under the sedition charges.

JNU administration, too, rusticated Umar and Anirban from the university and Khalid was charged with Rs. 20,000 fine whereas Anirban Bhattacharya has been barred from the campus for 5 years from July 23. JNUSU president Kumar was also fined Rs. 10,000.
