40-year-old woman approached police on Friday stating that she was raped by an Abdul Karim Rashid a 30-year-old man. The incident took place on Friday around 2 pm in the afternoon at Antop Hill.

The accuse was a residency of Wadala and he owns a chicken shop in that area. The victim resides with her husband who is a tailor and their son of 6years old and a 31/2 years old daughter.

As per the police from the Antop Hill police station, the victim has approached the Wadala TT police station and she was crying continuously and didn’t say what happened. She left the police station and later she returned along with her husband and registered a complaint.

As per victim Abdul came to her and tried to rape her in front of her daughter at knifepoint. Abdual was arrested and when police interrogated him a different story came out,from 2007 to 2012, the victim and Adual was also a resided of Sangam Nagar, Wadala TT and the victim shifted to Antop Hill two years ago. The victim would have visited his shop frequent and, later, they had a torrid affair.

Abdul also added saying that the victim has called him on Friday afternoon to her residency and after consensual sex, she asked him formoney. When Abdual has refused to give here money, she purportedly threatened him that she would go to the police and complain.

Police are enquiring the case and yet exact reasons about the case have not been known.
