Husband killed wife and filed a missing complaint

A man killed his wife and thrown her body in a dumping yard in Mulund and he had allegedly tried to file a missing complaint of his wife Rakhadevi Gautam (26) to divert the case. The Crime Branch has solved the mystery murder case and arrested the husband and the dead body was recovered. He had killed his because he alleged she was having an affair.

Senior police inspector Venkat Patil of Crime Branch (Unit VII) said, “In order to identify the woman, a team was set up and tasked with questioning several rag pickers and the driver of the dumping truck and during the investigation, it was revealed that a woman named Rakhadevi had been missing from her Dharavi residence since September 14.”

Anil Dhole the Assistant Police Inspector of Unit VII said “One of our informers told us that the wife of Dharavi resident Sanjaykumar Gautam had been missing since Sunday, after which we collected some information and called him in for questioning. He broke down and confessed that he had made his wife drink poison on Saturday night and, when she died, he dumped her body in the nearest garbage bin after wrapping it in a sack.”

The cops further interrogated and claimed that it has been just 8 months since Sanjay Kumar and Rakha Devi got married, and they got married in UP and they were living in Mumbai for less than two months. With a doubt in his mind that his wife is having an affair he had killed her and the couple has been fighting since they got married.

Though Sanjay kumar tried misleading the case with his stories he was caught by cops and case was filed against him and he was handed over to the Navghar police.
