Man robbed ornaments from his mother to feed daughter and wife

A 33-year-old man was arrested by Mumbai Cops for robbing gold ornaments worth Rs 31,500 and the man robbed the ornaments from his 54-year-old mother.

The man was arrested by the cops and the accused claimed that he had robbed the ornaments in-order to feed his daughter and wife as he was unemployed.

Assistant Police Inspector Kishor Pawar from Kurla police station said, “While the victim lived alone at Kurla, the accused resides in a rented apartment at Mankhurd with his wife and daughter. Jaggan came to visit his mother on the day of the crime and offered her beverages that were laced with sedatives. Once Kalpana lost consciousness after consuming the spiked drinks, the accused fled her residence with her gold chain, four earrings and the rings she was wearing.”

His mother filled a case against him and after he got arrested he did not agree the crime later he confessed everything. The cops have recovered all the robbed ornaments and he was booked under section 380 (theft in a dwelling house, etc).
