The French launch provider service Arianespace has clarified that the launch of Indian satellite GSAT-18 has been delayed due to unfavorable conditions and the launch will occur on October 6 between 2 am and 3.15 am from Kourou (French Guiana).
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said that GSAT-18 is the country’s latest communication satellite with 48 transponders that receive and transmit communication signals.
Reports said that the new satellite will provide service in normal C-band, upper extended C-band and Ku-bands of the frequency spectrum.
In its eighth launch mission this year, Ariane 5 rocket will be carrying Australian Sky Muster II satellite along with GSAT-18. Arianespace said that GSAT-18 will be the 20th satellite from ISRO to be launched by it.
The Ariane 5 flight will be the 280th mission by the Arianespace launcher family.
