China Named Pakistan In Mumbai Terror Attacks For The First Time

China has publicly named Pakistan in Mumbai terror attacks for the first time and have acknowledged the role of Pakistan in the coordinated terror attacks that took place between November 26 and November 29, 2008 and claimed the lives of 164 people and left 308 people injured.

In a documentary which was broadcast by Chinese State Television CCTV9, highlighted the role of Laskhar-E-Taiyaba (LeT) and its sponsors in Pakistan in this horrific attack which completely shook the country and the whole world.

Earlier, China had placed a technical hold on listings of three LeT or JuD (Jamaat-ud-Dawa) militants, Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki, Talha Saeed and Hafiz Abdul Rauf on June 9, 2016.

The listing by al-Qaeda sanctions committee of United Nations Security Council in September 2015 had the huge support of all the international members except China, which acted at Pakistan’s behest.

Recently, China decided to place a technical hold on listing of Hafiz Saeed, JeM (Jaish-E-Mohammed) chief, after JeM stands listed by United Nations Sanctions Committee . For this, China had to face a lot of global criticism.

China’s move to name Pakistan in Mumbai terror attacks is significant as China is realizing that supporting Pakistan blindly is proving harmful to its own reputation as a responsible world power which seeking support from all countries to fight against terror together.
