Translator of Microsoft is Competition for Google

There are already posts online about how different Microsoft’s translator is to that of Google’s and which ones will make your life easy. However, Microsoft has rolled out its translator in iOS and Android based platforms.

It supports phones and tablets as well as the Apple Watch and smart watches that run Android Wear, CNET online reported.

The Microsoft translator app can be used on a wide range of devices and supports 50 different languages while Google’s Translate app supports only 27 languages for text and voice conversion.

One can type or speak the phrase or word to be translated. In response, the app shows the translated text on the screen and as per the need it can speak it out.

Text can also be copy-pasted from other apps for translation.

Although, Microsoft has been serving up language translation through its Bing website along with apps for its Windows Phone operating system and its Windows 10 desktop software.

The company also offers translation through its Skype Translator programme, which is soon due to become part of the Skype app itself.
With the new app, Microsoft is entering into Google territory, which has long offered translation services on the web as well as for iOS and Android.

Looks like, Microsoft is all set to take on Google with its new Translator app. Microsoft's Translator Microsoft translator isn't the first service to attempt to confront Google in the translation game, but it may be one of the first to pose a real challenge to Google Translate.
