Instagram To Change In Big Way

Instagram is all set to change in a huge way. Earlier, in March the company has announced that it’s going to change its algorithm, which will change its feeds and conventional chronological order of its timeline.

While making it clear that the company is going to make the change permanent company said in the blog, “With this new ordering you won't miss your favorite band's video after the concert, even if it took place across the world in a different time zone. And no matter how many accounts you follow, you should see your best friend's latest posts.”

The company further added in the post, “You'll see this new experience as we roll it out over the coming month. We're going to keep improving over time to help make Instagram even better.”

Instagram was testing changes on small group of beta testers as well as few users claims that the test have been successful. Company said in the blog post, “Over the past few months, we brought this new way of ordering posts to a portion of the community, and we found that people are liking photos more, commenting more and generally engaging with the community in a more active way.”

Instagram’s feed will now look a lot like Facebook’s with users will be seeing the posts on factors like popularity rather than in strictly chronological order. While some has appreciated the efforts by the company and liked Facebook-like treatment to Instagram, others have showed strong opposition.

It has also launched a new update for its apps on Android and iOS platforms which includes a redesign of its mobile application with brightly colored app icons along with newly added black and white interface.

Instagram described the update by saying, “Our updated look reflects how vibrant and diverse your storytelling has become. The simpler design puts more focus on your photos and videos. Instagram is now a diverse community of interests where people are sharing more photos and videos than ever before, using new tools like Boomerang and Layout, and connecting in new ways through Explore.”
