A study published in Journal of Personality and Social Psychology by American and Israeli scientists suggest that is a couple wants to keep their sexual desires as well as attraction alive in the relationship then they should always be responsive to each other’s needs outside the bedroom.

The study suggests that while females are tend react more to responsiveness than men, men also feel the benefits.

In the study around hundred couples were given the diary for three weeks to write their sexual desires they feel for their partner.

The co author of the paper Gurit Birnbaum who is a professor at Interdisciplinary Center in Herzilya, Israel said, “Our research shows that partners who are responsive to each other outside the bedroom are able to maintain their sexual desire.”

By explaining that the couples who understands each others emotional needs demonstrate high level of understanding and are deeply in relationship, Birnbaum said, “Responsiveness, which is a type of intimacy. is so important in a relationship because it signals that one is really concerned with the welfare of the other, but in a way that is truly open and informed about what the other cares about and wants.”

He further said, “Sexual desire thrives on increasing intimacy and being responsive is one of the best ways to instill this elusive sensation over time; better than any pyrotechnic sex.”
