Om Puri Ends Up Insulting Uri Martyrs While Condemning Ban On Pakistani Actors

The Bollywood has been divided into two parts on banning the Pakistani actors for working in India and while several actors are supporting the Pakistani artistes saying banning them is not the solution to counter terrorism, other are supporting the ban saying that the Pakistani actors refused to condemn terrorist attack on Uri Army base.

In the latest development, legendary actor spoke on banning Pakistani artistes from working in India and while doing so he ended up insulting the martyred soldiers in Uri after the terrorist attack.

Om Puri said, “Who had asked the soldiers to join the army? Who told them to pick the weapons?”

The actor, while speaking on news channel further added, “Do you want India-Pakistan enmity to turn like Israel and Palestine, and fight for ages? India is home to crores of Muslims, there is no point in proving them for war. Several Indians have their relatives staying across the border and vice-versa, how can they fight a war with their cross-border families.”

Interestingly, the actor contradicting his own statement suggested that India should prepare 15-20 human suicide bombers in India and sending them to Pakistan for the blasts, forgetting that as a responsible democratic nation India cannot become Pakistan, a rogue state and to curb terrorism it cannot give birth to the new form of terrorism.

After Om Puri’s comments India reacted firmly and slammed him for insulting Uri martyrs.

While it can be understandable that Om Puri is against banning of the Pakistani artistes from working in Bollywood, it’s disgusting that he insulted the martyrs and the Indian soldiers, who sacrifice their lives on borders to protects ourselves.
